Alas. I can understand that. I guess, I went into the show with 0 expectations so I got a lot out of it. I look at the show itself like, say, Hercules the Legendary Journeys level sort of stuff. So, while fantastically entertaining it has almost nothing to do with its related fanworks.

I have approximately seventeen thousand ideas for fic on a weekly basis. (This is a trufax scientific number I have arrived at utilizing maths.) But it's true, the show's willful abandonment of preestablished development and foreshadowing really puts a damper on canon-based inspiration. I have had a crash course in how to ignore canon wholesale with this fandom like I've never had anywhere else, even more than in Doctor Who where time doesn't matter and everything literally happened in an alternate universe.
