Day Three: Your Favorite New Show (Aired This TV Season)

A think a lot of people on my flist picked Glee for this day, and I am not at all surprised. This show, while not without its flaws, makes me deliriously happy for 42 minutes every week, and I am not ashamed to say that I love it with my whole TV-loving heart. I love the satire and the music, the cheesiness and the genuine emotion, and above all, I love the characters. Every single one of them.

Now, I don't really expect the show to be able to maintain this level of awesome for much longer than a season, particularly because it's become so popular. I'm afraid that we'll become overwhelmed with artist of the week episodes (not that the Madonna and Lady Gaga eps weren't some of the most amazing television I'd ever seen) and even the best show wilts under a weekly deluge of famous guest stars (though, seriously -- Indina Menzel, Neil Patrick Harris, and Kristen freakin' Chenoweth? GENIUSES, ALL.)

So. In short: I am a Gleek, and I refuse to apologize for it. I feel like I have pretty good company in this.
